Shakia's journey into the world of Reiki began in her late twenties when she encountered a session with her longtime massage therapist. Captivated by the sense of healing encountered during her first session, Shakia felt an immediate calling to explore her own gifts. In her findings, she found that she also held the ability to channel energy and promote healing for others.
Shakia's approach to Reiki is rooted in her belief that everyone has the potential to harness their own healing power. She emphasizes the importance of bridging the gap between who you are and who you were created to be through mindfulness, meditation, and a connection to the natural world. Her vision is to create a safe space where people can learn to heal themselves from the inside out, and gift others with the knowledge to do the same.
Intuitive guidance often accompanies a Reiki session. During the body scan the practitioner is able to intuitively communicate with the imbalance/blockages in the body, and may be guided to give you messages to help you on your healing journey.
